Hmong handwoven & cross-stitch cushions

Announcing our newest collection of cushions hand embroidered by women from the Hmong ethnic group in the mountainous region of Thailand.

These gorgeous hand embroidered cushions are so “on trend” and consciously correct this season. Slow fashion and hand craft combined with the sustainability of hemp textile and vegetable dyes. They make a statement in any home- from the small envelope sized format to the very “up to date” styling of the bolster cushion.

We are proud of our collaboration with Studio Naenna, a community of women weavers, embroiderers, and designers who bring together craft makers from various ethnic groups to create high quality, environmentally friendly and sustainable products. Their mission is to encourage pride in traditional techniques and empower women within their villages.

These cushions are made of 100% handwoven hemp, one of the most sustainable textiles in the world. The hemp plant doesn’t require irrigation during growth, has almost no natural enemies and therefore needs no treatment with pesticides. Hemp is naturally organic, and is 100% biodegradable and recyclable. It is a luxurious, living textile similar to linen.
